JEFF ANDRILENAS

Jeff Andrilenas brings decades of experience in the environmental industry as a Hydrogeologist to a more recent focus on the nexus that exists between financial liability and Natural Resource Damages. Mr. Andrilenas formerly held a position with AIG Consultants and was a noted expert on Natural Resource Damages (NRD) for AIG Environmental and AIG Technical Services (AIG's environmental claims group) including evaluations of service to service trading, cost implications, and technical strategies in both the ecological and groundwater NRD arenas.

Mr. Andrilenas is author of an innovative NRD groundwater banking prototype pilot project in New Jersey where treated stormwater is being used as a service to service trading platform for the settlement of NRD claims generated under the NJDEP's groundwater NRD authority. This NRD groundwater "bank" is based on use of state of the practice groundwater transport and stormwater infiltration modeling to predict scaling factors from both recharge efficiencies and regional utilization availability for a replacement drinking water resource for settlement of "loss of use" claims brought under NJDEP NRD statutes. The pilot project will provide drinking water for approximately 10,000 households annually.

Formerly, Mr. Andrilenas was a technical Principal at AGRA Earth & Environmental (now AMEC) — initially in Seattle, Washington, then Portland, Oregon, and finally in Phoenix, Arizona. While in Phoenix, Mr. Andrilenas was the Senior Environmental Manager for 10 Southwest US offices including Reno, Nevada, Denver, Colorado, Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona, Albuquerque and Farmington, New Mexico, El Paso and San Antonio Texas, and Mexico City, Mexico. Mr. Andrilenas specialized in hydrogeological studies in support of remediation programs. He has authored and co-authored numerous papers on the cleanup of soil and groundwater at sites in the Northwest and Southwest United States.
